Kerry Clawson, the Beacon's current theater critic, will be moving to cover retail business and shopping. As the arts and culture critic, I'll write previews, news, reviews and other stories about classical music, dance and theater. Dorothy Shinn, our longtime visual art critic, will continue providing reviews.”

This reader certainly wasn't pleased. I always have enjoyed both of their stories and columns and wonder how anyone can think they can be crammed into one beat. Good luck, Elaine. And to Kerry, you're in a bad news/good news situation. While you lost the beat you did so well, at least you still have a job, unlike some of the others.
