‘Grizzly’ star dies
Dan Haggerty ("The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams"
movie and TV series), 74, died. He had cancer of the spine.
Haggerty starred as the loveable mountain man
first in the 1974 movie and later in the TV series by the same name. Haggerty's
character, James Capen "Grizzly" Adams, was best friends with a
grizzly bear in the 1977 show, which lasted two seasons.
Not to be flippant but, as I often say after a
bad round of golf: “Sometimes you get the bear; sometimes the bear gets you.”
This bear gets all of us eventually.
