According to statistics released by the Veterans Administration, World War
II veterans are dying at a rate of approximately 492 a day.
This means there are approximately only 855,070 veterans remaining
of the 16 million who served our nation in World War II.
Boy, do we owe those veterans a HUGE debt.
If they and millions of others who fought Hitler’s insanity hadn’t
prevailed, I would have had to write:
Junge, tun wir die Veteranen einen riesigen
Schuldenberg zu verdanken.
If 492 a day on average keep dying, then the
last World War II veteran will die in less than 5 years.
