Retired BJ assistant Composing foreman Bill Aquino passed away

William A.
Aquino, 91, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on October 9, 2015. Bill was born in
Paterson, NJ to Adelina (Vigoritto) and Nicholas Aquino.
He was preceded
in death by his wife, Clara. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy (Charles) Conner,
Nadine (Jay) Laughlin, and Laura Aquino; sister, Marie Kelly; brother, John
(Mary) Aquino; grandchildren, Michelle, Alyson, Lindsay, Kristin, Scott,
Vanessa, Elizabeth, Sarah, Emily and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Abby
and Alexander; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill was a proud
veteran of World War II and in the second wave of D-Day.
He retired from
the Akron Beacon Journal as the assistant print room foreman after many years
printing papers in both New Jersey and Akron.
The family would
like to thank his doctors and their nurses for the care given to Bill,
especially Drs. Salem and Shaub, and the palliative care unit at Summa
Hospital.
Calling hours
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Hummel Funeral Home,
500 East Exchange Street, Akron. Mass of the Christian Burial Wednesday at 11
a.m., at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Private interment in Ohio Western
Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diabetes
Association at 330-253-6126.
