Employees of the Troy
Record and the Saratogian of Saratoga Springs have received termination notices because their New York
newspapers’ parent company is in bankruptcy proceedings.
The 60-day notices are required by law
because each has more than 100 employees.

company of the Rome News-Tribune, Catoosa County News and Walker County
Messenger is in Chapter 11.
They join a long line of newspapers large and
small that are or have been in bankruptcy.
