How many can you identify at BJ reunion on Bud Morris' farm.

FRONT: Bud Morris, ???, Jerry Lee Bailey, Judie Craig Bailey, Ted Walls, Ted Schneider, Bill Hunter.
SECOND SEATED ROW 5th from left, Polly Paffilas
THIRD ROW Crouching Fran Murphey, Ott Gangl, Don Bandy, Art Cullison, ??? , Sol Schwartz, ??? , ???, Gene Winski, Dennis Haas, Tom Marvin
BACK ROW Mickey Porter, ??? , Hal Fry, Larry Froelich, ??? , Pat Englehart, ??? , Harry Liggett, ??? , Jack Patterson, ??? , ??? , ??? , Tom Moore, Eddie Schoenleb, Don Fermoyle, ??? , ??? , ???

Tom Moore sends along this photo of one of the many BJ reunions on the late Clyde "Bud" Morris property on South Medina Line Road. That's Bud in the front row, far left.

I recognize Ted Walls, Ted Schneider and Bill Hunter, the three in the front row on the far right;  Craig Wilson behind Bill Hunter; Dennis Haas and Tom Marvin in the second row, far right; Don Bandy and Art Cullison, second row, second and third from left; Mickey Porter and Hal Fry, third row, first and third from left.

TV newsman Jerry Lee Bailey, who lives in Columbus nowadays, identified himself and a person special to him.

"John--This was forwarded to me by Copley resident Tom Koch.  We worked together at Channel 5 News in Cleveland in the 70s.  That's me in the middle of the front row in the striped shirt (third from left). On my left was Judie Craig, who became Judie Craig Bailey May 8, 1966.  Sadly, Judie was killed by melanoma in 2003."

Then Ken Krause emailed his guesses. And Ann Sheldon Mezger added some IDs.

What you see as artlines are guesses by various people. If you recognize any with ??? or can correct those who have named attached to them,  email John Olesky at

and I'll add them to the identification.

If you can identify everyone in the photo, God bless you!

There were the good ol' days of the BJ, when get-togethers reminded us how much fun we had putting out JSK's baby.

Bud Morris, of course, moved to the Lillian, Alabama country home with wife, Joan, before they both passed away. Joan out-lived Bud by 10 years (2000 & 2010). Joan had relatives in Lillian, which is why they picked Alabama for their retirement home.

They met and married in 1949, after Joan VanTilburg had moved to Texas, and came to the BJ in 1950, where Bud retired as chief of the Art Department. It was Bud who came up with the name for Channels, the BJ television guide that began in 1980 but is going belly-up amid BJ cutbacks.

Their children are Ann Morris Miner of Pittsburgh and Gary Morris of Texas.

Maybe the photo below, taken in 1982 for another BJ reunion at Bud's farm, with everyone identified by the late Craig Wilson, will help you with the photo above.
