1970s BJ State Desk reporter Paula Stone Tucker was interviewed for an article by The Villlages, Florida Daily Sun because she is in the New Horizons Band in The Villages and in Cuyahoga Falls.

Paula also is in the Flute Fanatics ensemble in The Villages.

To keep even busier, she is in colored pencil art classes and has participated in water color classes in Ohio.

The peg for the article, besides Paula, the peg of my heart, was that the Villages’ New Horizons Band would be performing in a concert on Friday, November 18 in the huge Savannah Center auditorium in The Villages.
The theme: “Around the World in 80 Minutes,” with tunes from Mexico, Brazil, England, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Asia and Australia for the band’s 11th anniversary. Ward Green is the band’s conductor.

Concerts in The Villages usually are sellouts, even for tickets that run $15 a head, and in venues that can seat 800. And sometimes on back-to-back nights.
Paula’s NH band did that last year, raising $24,000 for The Villages’ incredible Charter Schools, which rank at or near the top in academics and music in Florida every year.
