The Society for Features Journalism has awarded Beacon Journal columnist Bob Dyer third place in the General Commentary category among newspapers with a daily circulation of 90,000 to 200,000. His entry consisted of a cross-section of columns from 2010. The first- and second-place winners both write for the Palm Beach (FL) Post. The awards will be presented in August at the group's annual conference in Tucson, Ariz.
