Beacon Journal staffers won honors in the Associated Press Society of Ohio on Sunday. Bob Dyer won a first place as best columnist, Phil Trexler won a first as best news writer and Nate Ulrich won a second place for best sports writer. Trexler also won second place for best enterprise reporting.
