Bob Dyer’s columns are rarely pedestrian, but I thought the one about accompanying his Navy veteran father, 93, to within a wedge shot of the Gerald Ford aircraft carrier dedication was worth a read by those who aren’t in the same state at the BJ.

It was like an Honor Flight, except it had nothing to do with being a veteran of the military.
