The McClatchy Co. announced today that Elaine Lintecum who has worked in the company's finance department for 24 
years has been promoted to vice president of finance and chief financial officer.

Talamantes replaces CEO Gary Pruitt, whose last day at McClatchy is today. Pruitt is leaving to head The Associated Press.
Lintecum started at McClatchy in 1988 and has held a variety of positions. She has been corporate treasurer since 2002, and will retain those responsibilities.
