Richard was driving through the parking lot behind 2250 Front Street, the location of Jack Richards Studios, when he accelerated into the parking deck at 2221 Front Street, struck a concrete trash can and then a concrete parking deck pillar, Cuyahoga Falls Police reported.
For 52 years Richard owned the Studios of Jack Richard at 2250 Front Street, where every Tuesday he taught scenic landscape, portrait, still life and figure painting in oil, watercolor, pastel and acrylics as well as in various drawing media.

portraits from Richard include First Ladies Mamie Eisenhower and Barbara Bush, golfer
Nancy Lopez and singer Dina Shore.
Richard’s "Abigail Adams" historic portrait is in the National First Ladies Library and Museum in Canton.
Richard's studio also houses the Almond Tea Art Gallery, with more than 14,000 paintings available for sale.
And has cleaned and restored more than 700 works of art.

RIP Jack! He was my father’s roommate in 1939 at the Chicago School of Art. I was fortunate to speak with him prior to his accident. My father was Glenn A. Bretthauer, Editorial Cartoonist for the Miami Herald 1945-1961.
