Bob Henretty’s
son passes away
Bob Henretty,
son of the late BJ newsroom retiree with the same name, passed away in April in
Charlotte, North Carolina.
The BJ Bob was
on the City Desk under Bruce McIntyre with Dan Warner, who later moved to managing
editor and hired me after Ben Maidenburg told him he had to do it despite me
being fired at the Dayton Daily News for union activities.
Bob was replaced
as Action Line leader by Craig Wilson, who had his quirks but did a superb job
of training reporters on how to get information for BJ articles.
