40% of Wounded Warriors charity doesn’t go to help veterans
The Wounded Warrior charity, which lists its purposed as helping America’s
veterans damaged by wars, spent 40% of its donations in 2014 for overhead, including administrative expenses and
aggressive marketing costs.
That’s according to the charity-rating group Charity Navigator. Wounded Warriors got $372 million in 2015 donations.
Semper Fi Fund, a wounded-veterans group,
spent 8% of its donations on overhead.
