Scarlett, the war is over
The Civil War will end Tuesday night at the Lee Road branch of the
Cleveland Heights Library just off Cedar Road – at least for this year.
PD and former BJ TV/movie/whatever critic Mark Dawidziak and wife
Sara Showman will do their last "Shades
of Blue and Gray: Ghost of the Civil War" show of the year at 7 p.m.
The Largely Literary Theater Company
production includes poetry by Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman, literary
selections by Ohio native Ambrose Pierce, songs by Sara and ghost stories.
With the Civil War off the table for now, Mark can concentrate on
his Mark Twain book coming out next year, and a show built around that book.
Sara is working on a one-woman show about Francis Hodgson Burnett,
author of “The Secret Garden” and “A Little Princess.”
And, in a pinch, they can
fall back on their productions tied to Edgar Allan Poe and Charles Dickens
