Looking for jobs
Akron Newspaper Guild is looking for jobs for laid off staff members. Please remember the Guild has more than just reporters and copy editors being laid off. Jobs also are being sought for a librarian, three clerks, 4 photographers and 2 artists. If you hear anything that may be helpful to them, contact the Guild or let the blog know. Send Guild e-mail to Paula Schleis at pschleis@thebeaconjournaldhsmyq.com
I feel for those who are being laid off. Since newspapers all over the country are laying off, not hiring, the prospects are dim. Also, even related jobs, such as PR, are dwindling.
