Blantons mark 50th anniversary
Watson Blanton, a 1992 retiree of the BJ engraving department, and wife, Rosetta, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Watson and Rosetta were married at Calvary Baptist Church on July 21, 1956. Watson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, in the SouthPacific. He retired from ;the Akron Beacon Journal on January 1, 1992, having served for 22 years. Rosetta retired from the Defense Logestic Agency in Cleveland with 44 years of service. A family dinner will be given for the couple and a Carribean cruise has been planned for a later date.They look forward to many more happy years with God's blessings.
