Twins for Joe & Monica Thomas
Newsroom staff members Joe and Monica Thomas announced the birth of twins Jan. 16. Ella Susanna (right)
weighed 3 pounds, 7 ounces and was 16 1/2 inches long.
Her brother, Andrew Joseph weighed 3 pounds, 4 ounces
and was 16 1/4 inches long.
I wish I would have seen this in January. I would have congratulated Joe and Monica and told them that preemies are special.
My twins were born at 32 weeks, and weighed 5 lb., 2 oz. and 3 lb. 12 oz. They had some rough months, but at 16 years old, are now 6' and 5'8". They are both excellent students and musicians. Our daughter is a varsity athlete.
We have seen no long-term effects due to their premature birth.
Hang in there! Modern medicine is wonderful -- most of the time.
